Well if you look in his description then you will be able to see the male pronouns for his character, and you can also tell by his body type. In DBZ, female and male body types are very different. Males have the giant muscles and their faces are more masculine, female faces are more rounded and smooth. Looking at cup and the body types from DBZ you can see he is male. I suppose it probably has to do with the hair, but other characters in DBZ has had long hair, for example: Raditz. So if you just wish to see the gender of a character, look in the description.
