My obsession with wolverine origins has made it so easy for me to fantasize about a new xmen oc. Like an older mutant team mate as seen in Team X or Project X or something like that. That came into the form of Nadine. Does she look familiar? Well she should because I decided to have some fun with her and make her Savannah Lane (Panthera's) maternal grandmother. As shown, Savannah clearly favors her. :3

Powers and Abilities:
Toxic Skin- Nadine generates a toxin that emits through her exposed skin. While not fatal, a simple touch will cause temporary paralysis. Prolonged exposure, or when Nadine is under high stress and therefor sweats more, causes narcosis.

Stinger Protrusion- As her code name implies, Nadine's preferable method in her mutant life are duel expendable stingers that emerge from the palm of her hands. These stingers are venomous and unlike the toxins in her skin, the venom injected from these stingers are extremely deadly. Because the stingers are retractable, Nadine can control their length at will. At close range, only an inch is needed to inject the venom.

Age Negation- Nadine has perfected the venom in her own body to essentially freeze the signs of aging at a cellular level. Both her stinger venom and skin toxins cause paralysis. Nadine uses that to paralyze her cells in place, keeping younger cells alive and therefor negating the ageing process.

Background- Nadine went through most of her puberty without showing any signs of her mutation. It wasn't until she was a teenager, about 16, when she was having an intimate relationship with a boy by the name of Mason Fridman. After the two had sex, Mason suddenly tensed and became stiff. He was completely paralyzed. Nadine and Mason's parents took him to the hospital, and while he did eventually make a full recover with no ill side effects, Nadine was forced by his parents to never see him again. It wasn't long before Nadine found out she was pregnant. Realizing whatever happened to Mason was her fault, Nadine was terrified to have a child so once her daughter was born she was quick to give her up to an adoptive family.

Many years passed before Nadine was able to get control of her mutations. She worked closely in mutant circles and traveled frequently before becoming a lobbyist. After being screwed over by a corrupt politician, Nadine found a method she would use many more times. In a firm handshake with said politician, Nadine's toxin in her skin numbed enough of the mans hand to not feel the prick of her stinger inject venom through his hand. 6 hours later, the man died. Nadine felt such a thrill and justification in her actions, so from then on she began a crusade to execute people she saw as unfit. The most corrupt, the most vile, and the biggest dangers to other people. Lobbing for them as a front to inject them with poison. Word got around after she took the name Sting and began working as an assassin for hire.

Despite her homicidal tendencies, Nadine is not a heartless killer and only kills people she believes deserve it. Even going so far that is she is convinced without a doubt that a hit she was given in completely innocent, she will kill the person who hired her. Her relationship with the family she never got to know is rocky to say the least. Janet never knew her mother, and when she comes back into her life as a mutant killer, the two don't see eye to eye. Things get even worse when Savannah gets involved. Savannah is all Janet has and has had for years and vice versa, but Savannah takes to Nadine very quickly. Admiring her as the family member she always wanted and relating to her as a fellow mutant. Something Janet can't give her. Janet is jealous and worried about Nadine ruining what she made out of life for herself and Savannah. Janet also wasn't ready for a daughter at the time she got pregnant, but unlike Nadine, Janet kept Savannah and feels like Nadine hasn't deserved anything from her or Savannah.
