Welp! Sonic the Hedgehog #18's cover been making the rounds!Painting the blood wolf moon was a hair too topical for it to line up with solicits but I can't deny the allure of pink. I thought the warm hues would give the scene more intensity than dread.

I absolutely adore this cover. The inclusion of Cream and Gemerl made me excited enough but every time I look at it I find new things to be impressed by. The color palette is absolutely superb, and the way the topography frames the hordes of zombots in the background is just fantastic. Cream popping out from behind Sonic and Gemerl while they're doing the Back-To-Back Badasses bit manages to strike a perfect balance between genuinely cool and humorous, and Cheese at the centre of the shot with the moon hanging in the background- which looks phenomenal, by the way- makes it look like the characters have been juxtaposed from their usual, cartoony environment into a painting, which is overall a really pleasing aesthetic choice.
I mean, by this point I'm running out of ways to say it but overall this just looks amazing. I didn't think I could like a cover any more than I liked Matt Herms and Evan Stanley's cover for IDW 12, but this has gone ahead and proven me wrong, and I couldn't be happier.
I can't wait to see what else you've got in store for us in the future.

So excited that Cream and family are finally coming to the comic!
No doubt it'll be the most love the character will be given in ages with them being absent from the games for quite a while now.
Love this cover art so much! The apocalyptic vibe going on with the background and approaching Zombots contrasting with the adorableness of Cream and Cheese come together to make a memorable art piece for the series.
Great job with this! Can't wait to pick it up next month

I love this! Not only am I happy to see Cream and Gemerl back, the art itself is fantastic. The attention to detail, especially in the variations of speices of the infected characters is brilliant.
