I think it was wonder that the slash coupling notation method in English-speaking world is unsettled.
Coupling notation methods in Japan are always multiplication. The top(seme) is left, and bottom(uke) is right. Seme x Uke.
(Incidentally, I want the top and bottom is always has been fixed and don't exchange roles.)
But I think it was very interesting phenomenon that notation was reversed for division(slash) and multiplication(Japanese Yaoi) .
