I don't know... I catch myself that I see cats in pictures of wolves lately. And I interpreted a couple of boys as girls...
But... One thing that could have helped: a tail. I keep forgetting to add tails to my characters... Tails are very frustrating but they can be a big help when differentiating the species of monster girls.

Hahahaha that's true, though! I have a hard time distinguishing what kind of kemonomimi some characters are.
For this one, I didn't draw a tail because the owner's ref didn't have one. I made this as a gift so I really didn't ask much details and just played safe by following whatever was on the ref XD
