I think she looks perfectly healthy, and beautiful.
If she were unnaturally thin, you'd see ribs jutting out, which are not evident here.
She has muscle tone in her abdomen, evidence of a healthy lifestyle. She is not angular and bony, but soft and slim, and that's not a crime.
Sounds like some people might be inwardly jealous of her, just saying.
I think she's downright gorgeous, and I can appreciate her simple beauty.

Airbrushed to unhuman. The beauty of the human body is it'slight imperfection, but I guess you went for the alien look.

The comments on this image nearly made me cry. My feelings, as I scrolled down, ranged from horror, to disgust and even empathetic embarrassment. I do realise that there are a number of people who will NEVER be able to achieve a body like that of the model (myself included) and due to basic human nature are simply jealous, but is there any reason at all for the rudeness and disregard shown for both the photographer and the model? Since when has being fit been something to mock? I could perhaps understand if you could see any visible signs of unhealthy eating behaviours and were legitimately concerned for the woman's health, but the fact is, you can't and you're not. Do you really think that this model should put on weight to make you feel better about your own body image? My suggestion, for all that it's worth: look at this not as an insult to your imperfections, but as something to aspire to; being fit is something we can all achieve, regardless of factors like metabolism speed, current weight or even inclination to exercise.
Now, to the artist: I would first like to commend you on your work, and for putting up with all of the flak directed towards you. Second, I would like to apologise for the disgraceful commentary above on behalf of those (few, it seems) remaining people in the world who were brought up with the decency and respect required to function in this increasingly shockingly-mannered world.

Thank you. I really felt something had to be said, particularly to the artist, I can't even imagine how receiving these comments must feel...

Lovely model. As for the thin comments, I'd say she's normal. There are no ribs showing, it's more of an illusion with the big hair, he head looks bigger, and then the over sized jeans.

BathedInSin In reply to CamelCase [2011-11-07 13:26:39 +0000 UTC]
You would be wrong sir. She is skinnier than what would constitute as 'normal'. She is small in frame, which is why proportionally you may not think she looks TOO skinny.... But you can be too skinny even if ribs aren't sticking out. I happen to love her figure however.

sloppy Photoshop job, to the average eye it's not too noticeable but to artists on here it's pretty clear XD She is lovely though.

You must be so fat to make such a statement.
She is lean for her size, but you can't even see her ribs.

She's too skinny for me to find attractive, but the good news is that she doesn't look unhealthy and I can see muscle definition in her stomach. Very well-done photo, though. (:
