Description Posting an image of blue wildebeest was 100% sure it was the only alcelaphine species in WrocΕ‚aw zoo. And last sunday meeting with this beautiful lady ( it seems it is she because males are much more muscular but I can be wrong cause never saw living hartebeest before) proved it was not so. It's Alcelaphus buselaphus caama ( sometimes regarded as separate species A. caama), Red Hartebeest, bawolec kama flanked by 2 lurking ostrichs. The weather went cold and rainy but I was standing watching her in awe and adoration.

Edit: Individual photograhed here has proved to be male so my initial identification was erroneous one!

She is beautiful and you captured the shot with loving care! Great composition framed with the plants, and the logs (and the ostriches) Beautiful image!

Thank you, it is indeed one of more famous in Poland I think, and it's new management does many things to make it more comfortable place for all the animals living here.
