What a shock!
The artist has moved from the scraping, empty pain of the self-oblivion explored in 'Concrete Pillar', to this!
This piece is not the lofty, airless void of the mind as seen in 'Concrete Pillar', but is almost the opposite; this is the hot, dangerous basement of the soul where delight is found in revenge, in hate, in anger and in cruelty.
One glimpse of the figure's expression and one is immediately aware of the unreasoning and implacable nature of the darker side of the self. We all lose control...and this is how it feels. Hot. Raw. Gleeful. Angelic. Almost purifying...and so very wrong.
The details scattered about the figure are intriguing....What have we stumbled across? It is like a macabre modern ritual has somehow succeeded in summoning our own demon.
The fearsome light behind the figure is reminiscent of the fires that fuelled industry from a century before...is this a view into the clanking, grinding powerhouse underneath the self? That selfish workshop of self-interest, suspicion and mistrust that we all rely on for our survival...and yet we always deny it's existence. We pretend that we do not have these feelings...hide them away...shut up our demons in hot little basements or attics and try to ignore the howling...
This is a piece of fantastic contrasts; of light and dark, of emotion and even in it's execution - the different techniques employed to create this work highlight the the reality/unreality that is being portrayed.
It is a difficult task for an artist to convey the opposing nature of these emotions...delight in anger...joy in rage...and yet, here it is. Satanically attractive, angelically fearsome.
Brava again!

Well I don't know. I think if you like it so much I would rather send you the image in HD so you can print it yourself. But I would rather print some recent works....

She looks like a demon someone just summoned. This image would be great concept art for film if someone wanted to use it for their next....demon/Devil movie.

Man! I hate that DA watermark!
Other than that, It is a fantastic piece to look at. The facial expression is great. Details have been blended in masterfully, and the great choice of color is adding to the "MYSTIC"al aspect of this beautifully!
Very nice piece indeed!

oh, really? I just can't know if I hate it or if I adore it!! That's horrible! But the picture is not too dark or contrasted? And the face don't looks too artificial? Is she frightening? Is she seductive?

I see what you mean. You gave me an idea! For me there's still something wrong with this picture. But I know what I'm going to do : I will add to it some traditional drawing and painting.
