Tried something different. Custom style though I took some cues from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team / Paper Jam. King Boo's body is supposed to be transparent when in use.Transparency test: i.imgur.com/wT4ac46.png

I love the anti-aliasing and sub-pixelling used here! Β Loving the choice of light source as well. But yeah, the anti-aliasin is both very prominent AND well-controlled, here. Love it! Looks like it might have been a pain to animate though.
