I can't give commercial use permission for sprites of trademarked characters such as this Shy Guy. As well, my original character designs are for my personal use only (everything in the Foregone Guardians folder).
For test use, you can use whatever, but if you release something to the public, steer clear of trademark territory as you wouldn't want to get into that stuff. Lawsuits aren't to be taken lightly.

the animation is great, but the style seems...off. The shy guy hood is off, i think, shape-wise.

I don't think so. The tip of the hood is behind his head, so it's not visible.
