I made my daughter a Ponyo costume when she was a baby. A few weeks ago, she was watching Ponyo and asked me to make her a costume that would fit her now. I had a little time, so I whipped up the bloomers to go with a dress I made her for her Strawberry Shortcake birthday party. Of course, now that she's old enough to handle a wig, I had to add some orange hair

Yesterday was probably the last warm day of the year, so we booked it to the beach for some photos. It was actually a lot warmer than I expected and the costume ended up in the sand while the kids dove in in their underwear! A happy end to a photoshoot increases the chances that she'll let me do it again (my kids hate cameras)
