This is amazing!! You can make a comic which tells this story.The picture remembers me a little bit at a book called "The Glass Books of the Dream Eaters". Maybe you know this book. It would not surprise me ;D

The piece is really busy, but that makes it seem alive, in a way. I really like how you've done this. The golds and purples and magenta/pinks are really pretty. Even though it's definitely nighttime, there's plenty of illumination and light. The way the satellites are open and the dynamic way everything seems to expand from the vanishing point gives this sense of something unfolding before your eyes. And all the detail--you really put a lot of effort into this.
This actually inspired me to write a poem. Would you like to see it? It's very loosely based, though.

Did you do the colouring also traditionally (on paper I suppose?) too? If yes, what did you use (I have my "suspicions" but want to know the truth)?
