Heracross should also be considered to be Izzy's partner (as a reference to Tentomon's evolutions) but in the end Orbeetle seems more fitting!It is really similar to Tentomon (as iconic as he already is) and it seems also really fitting for a person with the crest of Knowledge.
Orbeetle would be as exasperated as Tentomon when trying to get Izzy's attention out of his computer, though
