Shadows of Efrafa

Chapter 1: Kurai - Part 1

At first it appeared like just another ordinary day on patrol until Campion and his Owslas found an unknown buck in the forest.
He was alone, sitting there on a clearing just as if he was waiting for them. His smell was odd like cold and wet dirt - but there was also another note to it Campion couldn't quite figure out at this point. His fur colors were unusual just as his bloodred eyes. Everything about this guy was... strange.
They caught him without any resistance and he followed them without any questions asked.
Campion never experienced a capture like this before.

On the way back to the warren Campion kept close to the unknown rabbit.
After some time of silence he finally asked: "Who are you?"
His counterpart answered with amusement in his voice: "Obviously a stranger."
Surprised of this bold answer in this tense situation the captain asked further: "Okay, then what's your name, stranger?"
A few moments passed just as if the other bucks thoughts were wandering off abit. He then grinned and answered: "Why should I tell you my name if I don't even know yours?"

Campion, visibly irritated that someone could give such insolent answers to his catchers, replied: "I don't have time for this kind of ridiculous chitchat."
The nameless stranger finally said: "So we both will stay nameless, am I right, captain?"

And they entered the heart of Efrafa.
