Simply beautiful! Just shows us that even a "primitive" L-System-like set of rules can create something really complex with fractal-like self-similarity properties.
I just wanna zoom in it more and more!

This is really a very simple System.
It goes like

draw an Edge
OR
draw a Square
OR
rotate (90|180|270) degree
OR
shrink to a quarter of your size and copy yourself three times.

So it is really really simple and I think it qualifies as Fractal because you can zoom in as much as you like and it will always look alike

Yes, you are right. Linear fractals are also generated with L-Systems, so this qualifies as a fractal as well.
