I like Silent Hill 1's voice acting, there are some really emotional lines there. I think Cybil's actress especially does a good job. I mean, can anyone name any realistically-styled PS1 title with good voice acting?

There are some here and there, I agree, but most of them just sound awkward and amateur to me. They're good when you compare, though, yep.

I'm not sure if he actually did that much. He did to begin with when he was at the hospital, but after that, she basically just turned up for him to yell at her.

See what interests me about Silent Hill is it seems to be a horror series liked more by females then males. That's not very common at all.

Well, compare its heroes to most other video game heroes. You don't see many roid ragers in these games aside from Mr. Head. The nice thing is that you don't have to play as some "badass" guy.
Plus it's got an actually interesting story that isn't focused on jump scares and gore.

Yeah I'm not saying there's no reason for it, I just think it's interesting. If I was to see short clips of gameplay and cutscenes for the first time and be asked if I think this game will be hella popular with the ladies I wouldn't say yes.

Haha, good point! I wouldn't really say it was as bad as the original Resident Evil though. That had bad acting AND just plain terrible lines.

I'd say the fandom is the same in regards to girls and guys. It's just girls the ones who continuously go on about it for ages in forms of artwork and fanfics, while most guys will just play the game again xD
