Description
As Shadow slid the band onto his wrist, he whispered, "I wore them when I was going to destroy the world. I will wear them again for the same purpose."I've had this pic in my head for a long time, but just now got the chance to draw it. In my fanfics, Shadow's wristbands were a symbol of his slavery to Gerald and the ARK. They kept him from disobeying Gerald's command to destroy the world, and it was only after Shadow and Sonic went super that the bands lost their hold over Shadow. But now the time has come to destroy the world again--or save it. Shadow, ever conscious of the irony of his own life, finds new wristbands and wears them with grim pride.
I have a thing for deserts. I love painting them. This started out as an essay in Corel Painter, until I realized that I could do the exact same thing in Photoshop with half the memory. Fear the power of the brushes! I love their texture, and the rocks look rough. Here I thought my composition was good, then I realized that Shadow is in the exact center of the pic. *smacks forehead* Oh well, I'll learn someday ...

I thought the fanfic and the concept was pretty interesting, as well as the psychology of the characters and how in dept they are compared to how the characters became after Sonic Adventure 2 in the original Sonic franchise.

And excuse me for asking but, I've seen on many of your pictures that Shadow basically looks like himself on one side and on the other half he looks part robot. I swear I am NOT dissing your art in anyway! You're AMAZING!

Shadow sort of became that way in my fanfic series. After he fell after the ARK incident in Sonic Adventure 2, Metal Sonic picked him up and experimented on him, making him half robot.

Shadow's also enslaved to Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic thinks this is a good idea until it backfires.

I didn't read all of The Slave and the Darkness because I really don't have the time.it's 9:30 pm where I live right now.XD but what I did read was SO FRICKIN' AWESOME I CANT DESCRIBE IT! And I actually hate Metal Sonic because he killed Shadow in a fanfic by Rainbowgal called "Shadow's Sacrifics" and I am not too happy that he made Shads half robot but all in all amazing work.

Great! Airbrush really brings out the color in the rings, the trees and the surrounding scenery, meanwhile adding to the overall texture of shadow's fur!

confused* shadow is a robot? gerald create a real hedgehog? his rings are part of his body? (without them he is weaker) and what is that for obeying gerald when he wears rings?

Shadow has android copies but he was created from Black Doom's DNA so he is living o_e
The rings on his wrist stop him from using too much power so when he takes them off he's alot more powerful

It's awesome and all, but in the game Shadow the Hedgehog in the fight between Super Shadow and Devil Doom Eggman says that he is the real hedgehog. Not an android and that his robot saved him from falling.
