i love sculptures that show emotion like this, someones hands created it, poured everything into it and it shows. i love the detail, down to the bumps in the back of the neck from the spine, the shoulder blades, waves in the hair. simply beautiful.

It's one of the most sad and emotional tomb statue in Staglieno graveyard, Genoa/Italy. I don't know the tomb dedication, but it's not one of any noble, artist, or famous man of the past buried. Indeed the place is one of my fav cemetery all around Europe.

I'm close to the "perelachaise" cemetary i,n paris and it got so many cool statues like this one,but your is vert special ,it reminds me of "la danae" by rodin...
