Amazing looking Cobra! I am one of those who likes classics, and this car has been one of my all time favorites. I am not a Ford guy, but this car is just too sweet. Great modeling and shading. I think the lighting looks great. I saw the clay renders and I am just astonished at the amount of detail. I modeled a 1971 Dart a few years ago, and have been wanting to model the engine compartment and finish the interior. Hopefully I would get to it soon! Your model is a true inspiration. Well done!

I really appreciate it, man. Very kind of you. I'm very glad you like my work and it's really a pleasure to be an inspiration to you. I've taken a look at your sculpting and painting and am very impressed. Organic modeling and sculpting is a skill I am trying to build. Your work is an inspiration to me as well.

Thanks man I appreciate the kind words, I really do!
I love 3D modeling in general, but I spend most my time doing organic modeling. I am looking forward to spending some time doing some hard-surface modeling, as I need to update my skills in it. Your work has truly awaken me to the fact that I need to finish my Dodge Dart. Hopefully I will have some time in the upcoming months to do just that.

i use to use C4D when it first came out years ago.. the learning curve in it was easier then 3Dmax at first,i really liked the interface and operation in C4D.

it's an awesome program. Very logical intuitive interface and layout. I have my custom modeling layout that works great for me.

I would have used a studio HDR, now the reflections doesn't make sense to me, I do like the model!

Hm. Maybe I should have just composited with the HDRI I used here. I honestly just love the way this particular HDRI reflects on the car and highlights in the reflections itself (aside from the specular). I wasn't trying to make realism for this particular shot. Just showing the finished model here. (I should probably explain this in the description) I don't really like studio HDRI's that much. Maybe I'll try a shot with one to see if I can make it work for me. But I have something else in mind for the next shots of this car. But thanks though, something to keep in mind for future renders and posts.

ok, that's fine, the model again is great, did you box model it? cause modeling a car is very difficult for me...

it's a combination of various techniques. I don't really do the box method for cars. I tend to build polygons and curves to make nurbs and subdivision surfaces and connect them with a custom topology, adjusting and compensating as I go. That way works best for me. Especially with a car that's just not all that "boxy."
If you're having trouble box modeling a car, I would definitely try a different approach. Try to get a better understanding of the shape of the car by mapping out the curves. Get as many pictures of as many different angles as possible on the car you're working on. Pictures from just one side are often extremely misleading because the same area will be revealed differently from another angle. Photographs are in perspective and are a distortion of the object. If at all possible, try to find an actual, physical scale model of the car so, you can actually turn it around in your hands to see the true shape.
