I believe that one of the real reasons why SETI cannot find alien signals in space, is because the type of communication any space faring alien race would be using could not picked up on our primitive radio waves. Think about it, would you being an alien race able to reduce light years worth of travel to light minutes or seconds, would you use radio waves?

And more basic, since they are eons ahead of us, if they don't want to be found, they can easily make it so we don't find them. The human race is too full of itselfΒ thinking if they were out there we would have found them already, why not turn it the other way around which would make it more logical. Yet, if we would open up our eyes, and see the ACTUALΒ evidence, like pyramids, we wouldΒ knowΒ by now.

Exactly! Humans are also need to realize that not all alien species are ahead of ours, some of them we are ahead of in technological terms but those ones likely think the same way as most of us humans, that they are alone in the universe.

Why do people beleive in aliens? If they exsisted surely they would of already made contact by now we have been on earth for like a few thousand years and nothing has happened or been recorded in history.

Also, please do some research. UFOs are spotted all the time. Also, there are historical records of "skymen" with big heads and "jellies" made of slime.

I can't be certain, but I don't know if the artists is actually referring to a belief in aliens. This is a reference to the 90ies show The X-Files. The image and text "I want to believe" is on a poster in one of the main characters' office.
Now, that's not to say the artist doesn't believe in aliens. They could.
