Description You might have heard about the trial against a man that was accused of raping a woman in Irland, where the lawyer cited that the lace-thong worn by the woman was a sign of consent. That story really touched my heart and I thik it is madness that a piece of clothes might be a SIGN OF CONSENT?! wich years is it, 1830? No, not ok. Never, ever blame a victim because of her clothes. It would be intressting if we suddenly tried to use the same excuses in other cases: "well, I wouldn't have robbed him, he said "No" but his jacket defenitly said "Yes". Or not.

Anyway, I'm glad that so many women (and men) supported the woman, because it's sooo IMPORTANT that we DO NOT ACCEPT  the shame over the female sex. Because let's face it: Have you ever heard a man dressing "like a slut"? Not as many times as you heard a woman being accused for her clothing-style.

The drawing is A3 size and I've used graphite, copics and polychromos.

Wow, I hope the judge didn't agree with that lawyer?  What an asshole!! *burns me up*!!

That said.. We, as women,... when we do dress revealing in even the smallest way, we have to understand that it does invite the wrong attention.  That is just a matter of fact.     But in NO WAY - SHAPE - or FORM - does it give Any Body the right to put their hands on the person.     Thank God, the majority of people don't think like that lawyer! (who, by the way, I bet would feel quite differently had this happened to someone he loves, like a wife or daughter)   And I have to wonder if he, himself, has it in him to rape.. to justify it as he did..

Agreed. Wearing any type or amount of clothing, any variety of it, is not a form of consent.
Additionally, victim blaming is an abomination of a human behavior.

I think if dudes that wore their pants halfway down their butts started getting raped there wouldn’t be a problem of them “asking for it”
Very nice piece. We all have urges. It’s for the most part a natural part of most of the population. But no one has the right to take from another person or demand anything of someone. Especially not for a reason as dumb as “but they wore this so i thought it was okay”

Wow, I haven't heard about that story, but that's disgustingly infuriating. It's so upsetting that society still places blame on the woman instead of, you know, the RAPIST. Your artwork conveys the anger and frustration of this issue very well. The middle finger is a nice touch, I didn't notice it at first haha. Very nice work bringing attention to an important issue.
