This was for Secret Santa Exchange. It's for I have to admit I was a little out of my normal zone making this. She likes natural things and things that are handmade. I started off wanting to make her a box to put her paper stuff in since she does notebooks and cards and stuff. But I couldn't find a box I liked... Then I was going to design it with flowers on the outside and a pattern... but I didn't think it'd make it to the house in one piece... While wondering the craft shop trying to decide what to do... I came across this little dove. I've always liked doves for many reasons. Mostly because of their meaning but also because we have a dove and she is one of the sweetest birds we've ever owned. I feel in love and decided to make a scene inside the box instead because it might make it there that way. And thus... this was made.
I know since she has eggs the leaves should be green, but it looked much better with the orange and I liked the way it stood out... I thought hard about what to put on the box and at first thought Peace.. but then thought what better to put to someone with a nest full of eggs then Believe? Believe that everything will be alright. Believe that if things get down they could get better. Believe that no matter what, there will always be someone there watching over you.

I did like how this turned out... so I might be playing around with it more... If you are interested in something like this, note me and I'll see what I can come up with.

This took me about a week to paint, I still don't like some spots, and about two days to get the inside the way I liked it. It got sent late (Sorry about that.. stupid weather) but it was wrapped in so much bubble wrap, which my daughter helped me with by popping a whole length of it that I had to cut more, *giggles* that I hope it gets there safely.
