Totally! If you don't try new things you don't grow as an artist.

Are you using PhotoShop? I've been using it for a long time, but I just started taking a class and there are so many things I never knew it could do.

No, I had the really old version a long time ago but I could never figure it out. And now, it's super expensive. I use probably one of the lowest of the low editing systems. I'm still trying to figure it all out.

I am so totally not an expert when it comes to doing photo retouching, but I have learned a couple of really easy things in my class which is why I asked if you were using PhotoShop. If you don't already know about it, you might take a look at Gimp, [link] , it's a free open source app that has the same type of functionality as PhotoShop. I've never used it myself, but there are a lot of people who work in 3D who use it and swear by it. The cool thing about a well supported open source app like this, is that there are usually a lot of people who like to help others use the software. So they usually have a lot of tutorials and if you can't figure something out, you can usually ask a question on their message board and there is a good chance you'll get people trying to help you out.
