Description My first iray render.  No post work.  I had to do some tweaking to get the skin to look the way I was wanting...I went for more of an oily-sweaty look.  Was thinking about dimming that down a bit, but decided to keep him looking slick.  So far, I'm really impressed with iray.  It renders much faster than Reality and Luxus and gives me results that are easily on par with what I've been getting with that engine for the last couple of years.  Can't wait to get home and do some more experimentation with iray!

I also found that starting with the iray base shader, instead of the one created for G2M - and applying some tweaks to surfaces - I was able to get much nicer results.  This was borne of Sickleyield's suggestions in her tutorials.

that woman and her tutorials!!! always trying to trick me into learning something!

i'll give this a try. i just usually use the default g2m shader. thanks for the tip

It takes quite a lot of tweaking to the base shader for iray, but it gives you quite a bit of flexibility to play with the skins of your models.

Loving it so far.   I've really been impressed with your work with iray...it was one of the instigators that got me to try it out actually.  Keep up the wonderful work!
