LOVE the wolf transparency here and their long, pointed nails. Are they Lycans? Having read the comments below, your novel sounds intriguing, especially how you plan to include their romance but down-played. Love this style of artwork, an instant fave

Thanks so much. They are members of a species of Therianthropes which would be considered lycans. I wanted to try to create a portait/oil painting type of feel with this image.

Well in my opinion you've succeeded this is just beautiful work, I look forward to seeing more. I'm creating images from a short story I'm writing and I really do love seeing illustrations which correlate to a story.

Good eye there. Won't happen for a good while in the books, but it'll always be lurking in the subtext. Sexuality in the world I'm creating is really a non-issue. Love is love, so I'm not going to be making it a really big deal in the book - nor are any of the characters.

Knowing that we don't, I thought it important to weave it into my story telling - by not making a big deal out of it...but simply part of the story and the world in which the story takes place.
