Description Truth be told .. I had no idea how this would turn out. I think i struggled with the 3d model for the most part. In between total shut down... couldn't work on it properly. Months later.. tried again ... things started falling into place. Main element was modeled in 3dsmax, then used Art renderer. Major post work in photoshop. i.e. final look and feel, colors, effects, line work etc.
A flyer version was also created as well. Wherein i was able to churn out three more color variations.
Actual resolution :- 8928 x 5096 px

Thank you so much bro!! Hope all well with you and your family<3

Been facing a mental block past few months. Went on a trek last week .. need to clear my mind.... trying to get back.

The next piece is in the works. Keeping fingers crossed ... it will be the most personal / challenging yet. But more with depth compared to the previous artworks.

Things are okay on my end, I suppose... been in "auto pilot" mode lately, just sort of coasting.... its good you got to get away for a bit, that's always good for creativty. Same to you though, I hope all is well with you. Looking forward to seeing your new piece! But by all means, take your time; true art should never be rushed, ESPECIALLY if it's as personal as you say it is.Ā

You said it bro! absolutely!
I think i have to adopt that too .. being in auto pilot. Too much going on in my head.Ā

All in all ... i guess this trip taught me a lesson. How to miss home and value my time as well. It was then i decided i needed to start this piece that was left hanging for years ; right after my break. Else it will always haunt me.
Trying to connect it to the horrific crisis ; the amazon rainforest.Ā

there are always months between your artworks but I'm never disappointed.
It gives me hope that I can be a bit inactive too and don't become rusty too quickly haha. Keep up the great work!

Eric bro <3 thank you so much!

You are absolutely right... i've been away for quiet a long time. Haven't been able to work properly on my personal projects. There are so many incomplete concepts. It gets a little difficult to go back and totally submerge myself. But i'm slowly trying to get back on track.

The best is yet to come.

What is your main profession if I may ask? What do you do to stay in the 'groove'? For being a hobbyist your art is on such a professional level, it's quite impressive!
I have the same problem - my periods of inactivity become longer and longer and I'm afraid of losing touch with the art scene altogether. So I'm interested to hear your secret.

I work as a gaming artist. Mostly UI art, sometimes marketing assets.

It drains me to some extent and makes me miss my personal work :[

Almost everyday i keep collecting references... that way i get new ideas. But to be honest ... it really fuels / calms my mind. Else i'm totally blank.Ā

There are times i just want to get away from everything. Totally shut down .. go on a trip ( i like to trek), refresh my mind. Then start working again.

For us artists .. eric .. our minds get overloaded. We need to find time to just try and relax ... Let that feeling come back. We can't force ourselves to paint.Ā
Else it shows in our work .. how much time and effort we put into it.

Thanks for the insight! I figured you must be doing something related to art in your profession, otherwise your personal art couldn't be as good as it is.
I understand that the downside of it is that creating art is a lot more draining. I feel like a job like this would eat up all my creativity. So kudos to you that you still manage to create something on the side. And totally agreed on the "time to relax" statement!Ā

Cheers & have a great week
