Description
Posing my He-Man and Skeletor action figures based on the ending of the first episode of Masters of the Universe: Revelation where He-Man had to save the universe by absorbing the power that both split his sword in 2, killing both him and Skeletor.
We know Skeletor hid in Evil-Lyn's globe, but at the time, he seemingly died with He-Man.
Like the original toyline, these reissues have 2 halves of the power sword. Put them together, they complete the sword and becomes the key to entering Castle Greyskull. So I played on that with Revelation where He-Man's half went to Preternia (heaven) and Skeletor's half went to Subternia (hell).
I'll be honest, it seems as though Blackstar's Star Sword and Overlord's Power Sword was closer to He-Man's power sword in the toyline where when you combine the 2, you unlock Castle Grayskull. I recall the 2 swords on Blackstar had reformed with Overlord possessing it before he was defeated. I'll have to see if I can find it on YouTube or someplace legal.
I admit, I liked Masters of the Universe: Revelation. For me it was the MotU version of The Death of Superman, Funeral For A Friend, and Reign of the Supermen wrapped up into the series.
Let's be honest, there will be a final battle between He-Man and Skeletor, and hopefully a LOT better than Masters of the Universe (1987). And not just to eliminate original characters to introduce new toys like the final battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron on Transformers: The Movie (1986):

I do have issues with Masters of the Universe: Revelation, make no mistake.
Obviously, I was hoping for more enthusiasm from Adam when he says, "By the power of Grayskull!" He sounded pretty mellow knowing there's a situation at Grayskull.
But the primary issue I had was hoping they would follow the 2002 reboot where they dived more into Teela's parentage. Where Man-At-Arms was Teela's adoptive father, but her biological father was a wounded soldier the Sorceress had tended to, they fall in love, he mysteriously disappears and leaves her behind pregnant with Teela. And if I'm right, indications that Man-At-Arms' estranged brother, Fisto, was Teela's real father.
Making Duncan her biological uncle.
FYI -- Fisto had no memory of the Sorceress, let alone her being pregnant.
Speaking of Fisto, I felt his end and Clamp Champ's were very unceremonious. I mean they could easily have died that way, but it felt like killing off G1 Transformers like Brawn, Prowl, Ratchet and Ironhide. I mean Starscream's destruction had more flare as Galvatron's anger at him finally reached his breaking point separating him from Megatron.
But then again, how often did fatalities happen on Eternia:

A good skull fucking?
Then the other issue I have, Evil-Lyn able to acquire the power of Grayskull like Orko did. I can see Skeletor that if they had him being He-Man's uncle -- aka a descendant of King Grayskull.
If she had acquired some of Adam's blood when he was critically wounded by Skeletor after he returned from Preterna, I can see her somehow "hacking" his DNA to gain its power.
One thing I would do to Skeletor is still have him deformed by acid like on the 2002 reboot:

But he dies, but brought back by dark magic. Essentially he's an intelligent, yet evil, zombie whose obsession over Grayskull is greater because he can use its power to restore himself to life.
I know there's the CGI Masters of the Universe, but I had quit it after episode 3. But I do remember him needing Grayskull to keep himself from dying.
The 1987 movie had an idea of Skeletor's skull being a mask that Frank Langella hated. But bring it back which it hides his zombie face where the skull is still very noticeable and pronounced. And uses the mask to hide his deformity like Doctor Doom:

Just without the codpiece.
One scenario is where he's duelling with King Randor, Randor managed to run him through that would normally be fatal, but Skeletor laughs and says in a typical MotU cheesy way, "You can't kill what's already dead."
Then mortally wounds Randor, but He-Man finds a way to use the power of Grayskull to heal Randor with him also being a descendant of Grayskull.
But I did find it interesting how they still played with the idea of the 2 swords from the original toyline. And often wondered about She-Ra and her sword of protection. Whether it was from Grayskull, or his wife, Veena.
