Ever since did Crystal's alternate costume, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I just loved it.

And so, as a tip of the hat to Krowzi, here is Crystal, in her underwater costume, playing with a dolphin. Being so attuned to nature and her very element, it's only natural that she found a friend with the most playful of undersea mammals, the dolphin. You could almost say she did it on porpoise.

*audience starts to boo loudly*

WHAT? WHAT?!

EDIT: So....a bit more about this picture.
When I sat down to do this one, I wanted to both pay homage to what Krowzi did for me, and show Crystal in her very element. Of course, an underwater scene came to mind, but the dolphin was a bit of a last minute addition during the sketching phase. I guess, in a sense, the dolphin also came to mind when I recalled the intro to 'Captain Planet' (in particular, the part where Gi frees a dolphin from Hoggish Greedily).

On a side note, if I was ever put in charge of hiring voice actors to play my characters, I could see Janice Kuwaye (yes, the voice of Gi) filling Crystal's role perfectly. She has a nice Asian inflection in her voice, and she also knows how to present a character that's cute and innocent to a T.

PLAYLIST: (Tunes I listened to while I was doing this)

- The Chrono Trigger soundtrack
- Lost Track: "Deep Sea" - Mega Man X5 OST
- Lost Track: "Dr. Light" - Mega Man X5 OST

Anyway, I hope you guys like it.

Whoa. Nice work, NEO. You did an excellent job with the coloration and shadows in this one.

I like how it gives me a calming feeling when I look at it. Probably all the blues and colors from the cooler end of the spectrum.

You really communicated the whole FEEL of being underwater to me. Awesome work, man. Hard to believe how quickly you did this one.

I downloaded for the full-sized image. And boy, was I ever sorry.

Nah, but seriously. I think it looks great. Probably your best piece yet, though the placement of the bubbles seems somewhat unnatural, and the dolphin's snout should probably be a little thinner.

But, still it is quite good.

Yeah....I was looking for a better way to render those bubbles, but I couldn't think past altering a brush or two to get them. Better luck next time, I guess.

Thanks. I think I must be getting a lot quicker at churning out these- this was an overnight project, and took me from 9pm to 1 earlier this morning. Not too shabby.
