"Lady! Would you stand still!?" Ysabaeu stamped her booted foot down, the hard heel making a solid thud on the ground, and placed her hands on her hips to glower at the spotted mare. Noble Lady twitched her ears, arching her proud neck and snorted impatiently at the woman. She lifted her half braided tail ( in such disarray that Izzy had to start it over, again ) in a threat to swish it around again. Izzy leaned forward into the mares space, menace and frustration rolling off of her in waves. Lady dropped her tail with one last defiant snort and returned to the treat, just out of her reach, that was supposed to be distracting her.

Finally Ysabaeu got the mares tail braided, the bright cyan ribbon interspersed with the rich chestnut hair. She tucked Oak leaves into the top of the braid and moved around to work with the mares mane. It had been a long, long time since Lady's mane had seen a sharp object and after a long few minutes of staring at what was there, Izzy decided to do a running braid, weaving another cyan ribbon at the top to braid all the way down. Finally she checked that the copper shoes were was polished as could be ( and the hooves attached to them ) then switched Lady's halter for her dark oiled bridle, decorated again with Oak leaves.

"You're such a menace." The woman sighed to her horse, leading the spotted animal away. It felt so strange walking around in trousers instead of a skirt, but everyone had insisted it was the appropriate attire. She'd just have to hope no one was making a joke of her. After all, she wouldn't know if they were until they admitted it. Politics, and the ridiculous games that went with them, were not her forte. Should have married a minor lord, she thought to herself as the Vet strode out to meet them on the cobble path.

Just so you know, Fewspot Appaloosas are deceptively difficult
they make you think they're simple to recreate, but they're not.
