Description
The previous Gaurdian of Angel Island and Knuckles's Father.He done some stupid things in the past: powering up Knuckles's egg with chaos energy, Neglecting his wife to train Knuckles, leaving Knuckles abandoned on Angel Island believing he was the last of his kind, heck, even fallen for Rouge's seductive woo's (Some gaurdian he is).
However, his sacrifice to bring back his son who became the God Enerjak was very touching, made me very sad.

Locke did make some decisions that he most likely didn't like, but had to do to train and strengthen Knuckles for his duty as the next Guardian of Angle/Floating Island and it's Master Chaos Emerald, him giving up his own life to save Knuckles from the Enerjak curse was indeed sad, but don't forget that "Mobius: 30 Years Later" story, he died in a hospital bed, his grand father, Athair, could help bring him back! Really great job here on Locke! Very rustic an traditional looking!

I had a very quiet sob-fest when I read the comic where he died. After that one I gradually started drifting away from them. *sigh* They need more 'echidnas only' comics.

Eh, Locke's not much different from his son. Stubborn, set in the old ways, hotheaded (although not as much as Knuckles), and gullible to a fault. Doesn't mean that he didn't try, though, and his final sacrifice was pretty dramatic. Nothing says "Sorry for screwing up your life" like giving up your soul to free your son from the machinations of a villain more or less created from your own mistakes. At least he realized his error in the end...
I notice that your echidna designs seem to incorporate leaves and a very naturalistic appearance, which fits with their lifestyle (bar the advanced technology) very well. Locke looks like a shaman of sorts in this outfit (although the gloves seem a little off for some reason...), and the expression fits him to a tee for the most part. Definitely a great take on a somewhat lesser-known character!
