The colours in this are delicious and the relationship between the woman and the plant has been highlighted by the other comments.
The only thing that i can add is that cactus plants survive in barron enviroments and don't need much of anything to live. They are also harsh, fleshy and spiky, like the woman in the image perhaps..

cacti are so interesting, so hostile looking but with such a strong desire to stay alive.

hm, what's left for me now - after Jess made her interpretation
I was always aware of the resemblance between woman and cactus though.

I'm thinking of the most obvious thing... the resemblance between the woman and the cactus... interesting to consider the body as vegetative material to begin with, the body has been compared and referenced to many things from what is commonly termed as 'nature', but I never considered the potential relationship between the body and a cactus plant before... not only that, but the plant is in a pot! This has the potential for many symbolic interpretations doesn't it!

I remember those rhymes from childhood, about girls being made of 'sugar and spice and all things nice'... I always knew it was wrong, even then... now I know that girls are made of cactus and bright red things...

I love how you painted the woman's body and the direct reference in its form to the body of the cactus...
