Shuji Uemura

Hailing from the Land of Stones , Shuji Uemura is the elite Jōnin chosen to represent the Village Hidden in the Sun during the biennial Age of Remembrance Tournament . He honors his homeland's heritage in all of the ninja arts, and outside of the Ishikage, is considered the most powerful Shinobi in the nation. The man himself is a legend, having mastered his clan's Dōjutsu, Chūshigan , at the tender age of fifteen. He then founded the philosophical movement known as the Followers of the Brown Sun, believing that adversity and acceptance is the path to knowledge and strength. It is a code now followed by a large percentage of the population within the Land of Stones, including the Ishikage, herself. He is now both the head of his clan and in charge of village defense at only thirty years of age. According to the ART pamphlets, he is known for his mastery of his Dōjutsu, his almost ethereal wisdom and foresight, and his use of obelisk-themed techniques that can produce a variety of astounding effects. His signature technique is Obelisk of the Four Dry Winds.
