Wow that's really nice! Did you have to make your own tools to get that tiny detailing on it? The entire thing must be only a few cm tall right? I've done a little leather work and don't recall seeing tools small enough for doing that.

I hand carve everything on these, there are no tools for me beyond awls, pens and whatever else I happen to have around me that I think will work to get the result that I'm going for. I'm sure they do have tools out there, but I've yet to find them so I find a way to ghetto it all myself -haha.

Haha well then I was half right, you don't make tools, but they still don't sell leather tools for stuff this small. (As far as I know.) I just finished a stick barrette, (there are pics on my page) it'd be really interesting to see if you cold make one on this scale.

I just looked at them [they are very nice] and I think I prolly could, the leather part isn't so much the issue, but what I would use for the sticks themselves. Though I'm not sure it would take me long to figure something out. I'll have to add it to my to-do list, just to see how it turns out ^^

Yea, I was thinking about that too. My suggestion would be to buy a little piece of thin bronze brazing rod from a welding supply store. Then you could shape it a little by hand if you wanted to and patina it to darken it. I'd be excited to see it as well if you make it. XD

My head's been pretty brutal with me for the last couple of weeks and it's been affecting my sleep again. Trying not to go through yet another bottle of aspirin while I ride this latest stretch of all the pain out but I haven't been very successful with that -heh, otherwise fine. Trying and failing to get things back your way in a timely manner though, mainly because of afore mentioned pain [it's been pretty bad at night, at first it was kicking my ass around 9p and on, lately it's been as early as 7p. yay] -but soon, soon, I do promise, once I can work past it

Things have been fairly good here but very hot this week, it's reaching 42c (107f) today so we're staying inside and trying desperately to stay cool. :S
