Description The fins aren’t used for propulsion, but for temperature regulation. The bulbs can be filled with air from a bladder next to the lungs in order to expand or compress the fins under water and take advantage of temperature variation in currents. They prefer the brackish water of estuaries and shorelines. This need to be named something more appropriate than “Water Buffalo” some day... I have no idea where that came from.

Mechanical pencil.

I like this, it is a very interesting creature. You really thought this through! And very good shading for mechanical pencil! Very nice!

Amazing work! The level of detail you've managed to create, not only in the rock and sea, but in the creature itself, is incredible!

Oh WOW! I usually don't comment on pictures much because very few of them really capture my interest, but for some reason this picture does. I could hardly believe it when you said it was pencil... It looks like something that's been smoothed out on the computer - and that's a compliment!

I must say, you have some serious talent, especially with a pencil. I love the lights and dark. And I especially love the look of your "water buffalo", which you completely made realistic.

Great job, great picture, and keep up the great work!
