Good riddence. Couldn't even keep up with modern web standards. AND they basically forced you to use it.

Actually, according to the possibly official (more like unofficial) Tumblr page for IE-tan, Inori is now the mascot for Microsoft Edge as well.

I have used Firefox for the last ten years (since XP).

I'm sure about 60% of the internet surfing population started with IE. I know I did. It's interesting to see Windows give up on it. Just goes to show how time can change just about anything.
Also, is anyone else hearing "The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku" looking at this picture?

Between charging people for office software that originally came free on the computers, charging an arm and a leg for said software, the crappy interface changes, and harm to third party developer relationships, Microsoft has been doing pretty much everything wrong.Β I bet they are going to launch a new browser they want to charge money for.

Explorer had been giving me problems this past year. Only my e-mail page is safe. Firefox has become my browser of choice, though it did take some getting used to after over a decade of Explorer.

Well here is one detail i learned since making that post.Β Microsoft may be making the switch to Windows 10 available to Windows 7 and 8 users, including users without full product keys, free.Β Well see if that's true or not.Β Microsoft may be learning that it desperately needs to improve customer relationships and relationships with developers.
