so I've been doing Sonic renders for a really long time now... nearly 4 years now I think?and it got me thinking... what was the very first "actually" render of Sonic I made? well, that would be a render with the (strange) title: Sonic: Smooth as Ice!Β nibroc-rock.deviantart.com/artβ¦
so I decided as sort of a testament as to how far I've come I'd remake it! I'm glad that my first render of Sonic had a neat pose for me to remake

Wow, you certainly made improvements over 4 years. I could see the immediate differences between the two. Coloring and shading is a bit better. There more shine to his eyes and shoes. The whole model looks more... updated. lol I'm not familiar with all of the terminology, but still, you did a fantastic job overtime. Glad to have been watching you for a long time now.

I noticed just this morning in a Sonic Forces video that Sonic has an idle animation while skydiving, where he turns on his back and looks at the player, I don't know if earlier games do it, but this really reminds me of that pose,
