I call this "White Hot Pink" sort of a play on the color theory that Super Knuckles has: Red > PinkPink > Brighter Pink

that is true!, the pink super form should be for Amy and Blaze and not for Super Knuckles, because Super Knuckles should be yellow and with spiked hair like Super Sonic, Shadow or Silver. In fact all male characters should be Super with yellow and spiked hair and the "pink super form" should be used only for female characters.

not all sonic males should be yellow.
I think it makes sense for characters like Knuckles and Tails to not be yellow but rather just a brighter shade of their own color.
It allows Sonic to remain trademark to his yellow with red eyes for Super Sonic, to make knuckles also go yellow would take away from that.
Also by only allowing females to go pink would be associating a gender to only one gender, when anyone should be able to be a color not based on their gender.
this is just my opinion, and based on your icon it's clear you have a very path-driven opinion

Shadow is not withe, in SA2 is still yellow but more brighter than Sonic, and since Shadow The Hedegehog game his superform is at the same golden yellow as Super Sonic. I think all "Super Mobians" should be golden yellow with spiked hair, not only hedgehogs, also echidnas, foxes, and other animals, just imagine Knuckles, Tails, Espio, Jet the Hawk and Fang the Sniper with the same golden yellow superform with spiked hair, they could be cool!
