Ami got up from the floor, amazed at her friend. They had sparred many times before but they had been one-sided clashes. Now, in their Sailor Senshi forms, Sailor Jupiter was keeping up with her and had been able to score some blows, even knocking her down just now.
Ami's power increase when transforming into Sailor Mercury had been significant, but Makoto had managed to bridge the power gap between them which implicitly meant her own power-up was even greater. Ami couldn't help but smile at her friend's growth, and also in part because she could now finally spar with someone knowing she could go all out without fear.
"Make it best out of three?" proposed Ami as she wiped the sweat of her brow and raised her fists, ready for more.
"You know it!" answered Makoto as she readied herself in response.
