Description Art trade for my very good friend, Solenne !

This was such a privilege for me to draw, as Solenne (or nami64 as you may know her) is an artist of such greater ability and talent than I.

Also it's not hard to accept any excuse to draw Thomas's flaming red breeches.

I don't think that the people of the 1770's have looked more handsome than they do in your portraits! This one is no exception

They way her hair moves, how great! Because let's be honest, that's what it looks like on horseback

Oh his breeches are so nice but I especially love his gray frock, that silver lining is gorgeous!

i love how you made them looking at each other, like if the riding was just an excuse to be together and they don't really care about the horses XD the mouvements of Martha's dress, of their hairs, and Thomas red breeches I love everything!
you really captures their love and this is beautiful to look at!

Thank you~Β

but her horse is not cut off.

i wanted the compositional essence to focus on martha's movement back to thomas, their connection. Drawing her horse would've divided and shifted their intimacy, resulting in two isolated figures. Β Thomas' horse is complete because it draws the viewer's attention forward and adds grace and depth; more importantly, it channels Thomas' energy to meet his love's.Β

it's like the difference between racing horses and two lovers racing horses.
