Description
Orcs and trolls. Dark beings with no respect for nature. They have encroached on our land to hunt us for slaves and sport and their evil ways will not be tolerated. Just a little closer and they will learn the error of their ways. They will become the hunted.[[ This was the centerpiece work for my entries into the art show at the G.A.M.E. expo I helped put on this weekend. I'm very pleased with how it came out if I do say so myself and it seemed to be well received. I hope it's to your liking as well

As always, your compositions are gorgeous! I love the blur effect to add depth of field! The only thing I would suggest is to watch the placement and shadow effect of the feet on the girl. Right now she looks more like she's floating than standing on the rock. The rest of the motion is great. I can feel how tense she is drawing her bow, and I keep expecting to see the orcs and trolls to actually move because of how "in motion" they feel. Great piece fam :3

yah one of the occasional oddities of CG work. Β She was standing on the rock, but the lighting I used produced that shadow. Β I tend to leave things like that in those situations as the lighting effects follow the way actual light behaves so I daresay if we saw this scene for real there'd be a weird shadow there too. Β Still, I do see what you mean and very glad you find this to your liking as well

xD The lighting effects try to follow the way they would work, at least. If there's a way that you can, one thing I would suggest is to try to add color bounce (i can't remember the actual word for it, but basically like when you hold a fluorescent piece of paper to your hand and your whole hand changes to that color. Everything does it but if colors aren't super vibrant it's not noticeable.) That may help adjust for those kinds of times xD
That all being said I do super love this piece, it's probably one of my favorites of your work, now. That movement in a still image is so great.

yah I know what you mean. Β something like that I can also adjust in Photoshop after the fact. Β In fact many of my pics I've purposely rendered with two or more lighting effects and styles, then I'll blend them together as photoshop layers to get what I want
