Description A pair of lovely spacers new to the system getting a tour of the local port facilities.

[[ Made this one as a test run for not only alfaseed's wonderful new X8A01 sets, but Stonemason's new Sci-Fi Corridor .  Of course I chose to put some of the heavier processor-intensive things together, not bother to trim the scene of superfluous items, crank the settings up and let 'er go.  That was last Monday  Cooked all week to this point and even here I stopped it before it was finished... looked like it was set to go a couple more days.  Anyway, what rendered looks like it was worth it, but took a hell of a time to get there.  Such wonderful new items by these master-makers, but I'm going to have to wait until I get a new machine before I get REALLY ambitious with them  Still, these are awesome sets.

One thing I really dig about Alfaseed's products is they've ingeniously made it so all their stuff mix and match together.  Here I've got elements of X8A01 on all three women.  The boots, gauntlets, and staff of the spacers are from the Uraalys' Ny set, the  bodysuit of the guide from IVe (with a third-party texture).   Oh and the spacer's suits are actually Alfaseed's very cook INKs body textures.  It all comes together so nicely, the possibilities are endless!! ]]

do you roleplay at all? if so, is it possible i could talk to the girl in the full space suit and helmet to the left in the pic?

I'm glad you realize that women of the future will all wear skintight body conscious clothing.  If only I could live that long ....

I have somewhere in my runtimes a Sci-Fi hangar, relatively empty, that takes an infinite time to render, don't know why.. I understand you, in that case

The characters are superb, my preferences go to the middle one... Definitely sexy

Yah I've got a few items like that... perhaps a faulty texture somewhere?   Glad you like my space gals  Thanks very much!

Very nicely done. I like the suits on the left and right.

Do you mind if I offer a critique? Some brightness would be nice.. all three being in muted shadow sort of lowers the over all mood. Maybe the center one could wear a brighter color?

Maybe I am missing the point and I am sorry if I have offended you.

NICELabs In reply to CheskaMouse [2013-10-27 16:04:24 +0000 UTC]

No offense whatsoever   To be honest I didn't think that far ahead to set the mood.  Mainly trying out the products so I used the basic lighting for the setting.  If I brought them out more into the corridor it'd be better lit I'm sure.  Her clothing I went with colors that were close to the other items she was wearing, but yeah I usually highlight certain areas in postwork... a bit of extra light on the face or areas with curves or detail.  Since this took soooooooo long to render though I basically just fixed the errors and artifacts and forgot about the rest. Heh I think also after seeing it on my screen for five days while it cooked I kind of got used to it .  At some point I'll revisit this and freshen it up some, but I am glad you like it for what it is

I too can feel the tension is this, the one on the right:- definitely ready for trouble, centre:- signalling a with a "it's hopeless but let's do it any way" look, left:- "It's suicide!"

As lovely and intriguing as always (entire solar system included).  You've got a lot of reflections going on here, would that account for the time? (I always set mine to 3 bounces max).

The dirt/grime/rust/chipped paint details are wonderful.

NICELabs In reply to madaigual [2013-10-26 18:57:14 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah.. definitely the reflections... plus I think it had it where there was light refracting too.  On top of that since I hadn't got rid of all the superfluous corridor stuff, all that was being reflected in the window too.  Made for a great look, but slowed it way down.  Darn my impatience

Very glad you like it though

Impatience! Ha...Been there, done that, didn't get the T-shirt...took too long to print

hehe cool .  there's such a wealth of possibilities with sci-fi. Picture the Corsets as sexy Venusian space girls in slinky space suits

And my Marla pic for you rendered in about 30 min, but I want to tweak on it more.  Will give it an upgrade when I get home tonight and post it tomorrow

I grew up in a dank world reminiscent of Blade Runner and then worked in environments similar to Nostromo in Alien... Cows and grass are pretty (at a distance)

Very glad you like it  I find it intriguing you sense tension and violence.  The white-haired gal's expression perhaps?  Caution in a new place?  I gave them sort of random expressions so as not to have them blankly looking, but also not a canned smile either.  Nice that it invokes that image for you

Really very darn cool buddy!

Cooked all week? What render engine are you using mate?

I love it though. The 'feel' of the suits is very realistic indeed.

Plus you get extra credit for using Diamond Hair (I think!) I love that!

Thanks very much!

Just rendered in basic Poser Pro 2012... firefly  I got Reality and luxrender, but it doesn't like my system.  Keeps messing up my runtimes so I uninstalled it.  I'd like to get the Octane renderer, but I also have Poser 2014... just need to install it.  Of course if I can save up for it I'm really wanting to get the new Mac Pro coming out in December.  That will make a difference on a quantum level.

Yep.  I dig the Diamond Hair too  Great little 'do and it's perfect for helmets and hats
