Lol, I watched a lot of different Disney movies and it made me realize how much I love fairy tales (not the original ones with the SAD endings. Those are terrible in my opinion, but no offense to those who do like the originals.)Honestly, Fairy Tales and even Disney are the things that also helped me in drawing - especially fluff. I mean come on, did you think I got inspired to draw fluff by watching TMNT? xD
I always depicted NiNi loving Fairy Tales because it's a hopeful thing for her - it makes her happy. So to share this happiness, when she has Koujiro, she would read him bedtime stories from the old Fairy Tale book she found in the sewers. (However, I'm sure April gave NiNi other books too. X3)

Oh and for the love of God, stop mentioning stuff from the originals. I've read every one of them that I like the happy versions to and the dark ones made me EMO.

Awww, I love the happy versions, I know about the sad ones and they were just made to deter children from doing things, not make them happy, lol, well happy to be safe, but I much prefer the Disney versions, ^^ cute sketches,

There once was a sad little turtle tot who was used in the name of science. Her name was NiNi. Then one day her fairy godfather saved her and gave her a beautiful gown, shoes, and tiara. He also made three lab rats as NiNi's horses for her pizza carridge, and two wild rats as the driver and coachman.
"You have until 12 'o clock before your clothes turn back into rags, Dude!" NiNi's godfather warned. So then NiNi went off to a ramdon ball where she danced with Prince Leonardo Hamato. The Prince and NiNi fell in love, Prince Leo proposed to NiNi and she accepted, they had a son named Koujiro and ruled the land happily ever after, THE END!!!!

yeah they arent that happy ending, cause the world isnt like a disney version of a fairy tale, sadly.
and fairytales was suposed to teach little children how hard life could be, but hten came the former version of 4kids: parents and educationalist, who said that these fairy tales have to be censored, cause they are to violent (realistic) for children minds. and thats evoles to a cartoon channel who would add shirts, where normaly shirts doesnt exist *looking at your old nini vs 4kids joke pic*
and then some of these 4kids members joined DA and started to add a new rules, to delte matured cartoon characers bla bla bla.....

Yes, that is true that some fairy tales were meant to show the dark side of life, BUT I'm one of those people that think children to have a good portion of non-graphic/depressing stories. I say this because it keeps children optimistic. If they learn from dark sides they're going to be afraid of doing a lot of things because they'll be wondering if they're doing good or bad with their actions. If I have kids, I'd encourage them to believe in their dreams (granted realistic ones) and if it makes them happy to the point of them wanting to strive for it, then that's good - they'll feel a bit of ambition in living as a human being.
I may be a sap when it comes to children and fairy tales, but I don't like it when children at extremely young ages learn such horrific things like someone getting killed or cursed in any way. It'd probably make them feel negative.
But that's just me.

I love the Grimm Brothers stories what with the ugly step sisters cutting off their toes so they could fit in the slippers and so on. so gory, so violent, so much fun.
