been reading a lot of james stokoe's comix.[link]
i think he's rubbed off on me... i guess what makes me like him is that he's nearly exactly the same age as me and yet published and awesome... i feel we have a similar outlook on the world of sci-fi
gotta draw giraffe based imagery for the comiccons 'all exhibitors anthology'
its generally a pretty bad book since there is no entry requirements but its my work in colour, in print for free so im gonna enter.... just a little story about a dude and his desert giraf and some other bad dudes who want to steal it

the giraffe looks sort of dehydrated.
speaking of dyhydrated african fauna. I was watching this like 2 hour documentary on elephants. and after the 1st three times it happened whenever they started to play sad orchestral music I was like
"oh god. another baby elephant is going to die. and they are just goin to tape it as the baby is like frying. and say something sympathetic like 'oh the harsh perils of the savannah.'"
and they would sort of crumple. and thats what your crumply giraffe reminded me of. it needs its own dramatic symphonic score to go along with it.

as for the documentaries i know wot you mean
i remember as a kid i saw one about baby turtles trying to get to the sea. loads didnt make it cos they got stuck on their backs and the commentary was like 'the unlucky few die because they can't roll over'
i was devastated and asked my mum if the camera man picked them all up.
she said:
no.
i nearly cried.

oh. the sea turtle ones. where they show the mass death because of predators, drying out, thinking the city lights are the moon, etc.
yeah. if i was there i couldnt help myself, id go rescue crazy. even if its detrimental to dewelopment. at least they couldhave achance.
