Hey guys, I did some pixel measurements and I need some help to figure out what meters my Excalibur-subclass is. The TMP Constitution measures up to 1748 pixels, which equal to 305 meters, and my ship measures up to 2013 pixels.. so.. how man meters is it? I really want to know if anyone can answer.. :/

i think it's like 351.23 meters..

Probably the closest answer. 351 meters does sound right.

ironically, that's the size i was going for with this constitution ship

What I was thinking is that if the Excalibur-subclass existed is a TMP-like reality, it would be far more advance with many parts like the warp core smaller but more powerful and advance than a normal ship for that time. Compact but practical and VERY fast.

And Kelvin pod-like escape craft. Because it's a brilliant idea that just works for serious situations.

One thing I do like about the new Kelvin timeline is that it revolutionized the TOS Era to a more advance future, perhaps the way it should've been, but do the the 60's era, it just wasn't possible. But with movies like Star Trek Beyond, we have the advance future the Gene had envisioned all those decades ago. You could just tell when we entered Yorktown station and just how big and advance the Star Trek universe truly is or how it should be.

I think the first time we see the vengeance appear( against the enterprise) was the eye opener for me.. i mean i watched TNG reruns before, but yeah, the abrams universe definitely brought it into the modern age

Star Trek, to me, is about positive progress, about both society and technology and the promise that one day, things will get better for humanity as a whole. TNG and other Star Trek shows will always have a place in my heart, but we also can't just rely on the 60's 'cardboard' sets. There are fans out there who'll forever stay with the original no matter what and will at times criticize and even just HATE the new Star Trek movies and updated technologies and environments. I can understand that since the original is deeply rooted in their childhoods. But we also have to update to the times and think about what needs to be changed and keeping Star Trek relevant to the current times. And especially THESE times wish so much crap going on and people feeling hopeless. Damn it, I'm just ranting now am I?

ProjectWarSword In reply to trav3000 [2017-07-20 19:01:54 +0000 UTC]

In that TMP-like universe, things are very different. For one, there was no Earth-Romulan War. But an Earth-Klingon War, and the Romulans allied with Earth. The Federation as we know it is slowly becoming a police state with civil war and threats like Klingon Empire remnants and a democratic Cardassian Republic is trying to promote peace. And a new breed of Augments are rising and claiming territory. So yeah, things are crazy

ProjectWarSword In reply to trav3000 [2017-07-20 19:31:14 +0000 UTC]

Well, not mirror exactly. The federation does exist except that it's a bit more aggressive and no agony booths.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ProjectWarSword In reply to trav3000 [2017-07-20 19:37:52 +0000 UTC]

No. This is more a wary and battle hardened society. Since Earth fought the Klingons and not the Romulans, things have changed. And the Vulcans a bit more aggressive and have secret agenda like in ENT. The Romulans are more our level and see humans as close to them than their Vulcan cousins. And the Klingons, well, more barbaric than the more 'civilized' ones that we all know. And there's new alien threats that the Federation has to deal with.

LOVE these! Bottom one looks the coolest! However; I'd add the pennant and deflector dish from middle example, but maybe make the dish a dark blue; like maybe a a dark greyish blue to complement the color scheme.
