Another large file...hopefully a little more manageable for y'all size-wise...but this was a big drawing...19x25. These are the inls for another Illustration assignment: Modern Myths. The idea was to take a myth/fairy tale/legend and contemporize it to a set of modern issues etc. I kept trying to work with the concept of the computer/internet as Pandora's box, but it just wasn't exciting enough...hell, I wanted to draw giant corporate-themed robots destroying the old gods! (Titans vs. The New Gods) So, in a 6/7 hour sitting from start to finish I popped this baby out the night before Illustration. I had more mech concepts including a Starbucks mech and a silhoutted Ipod mech, but the composition was crowded enough already!
Next stop: Color!
