Wow! This reminds me the Zero Ryoko episode of Tenchi Muyo when an evil space scientist Dr. Clay sent his robot Zero down to earth, impersonate Ryoko, and Kidnap Washu. But the imposter was constantly distracted by feelings for Tenchi the same way the real Ryoko felt for him.
