Bio:

Tobias Holden, or 'Toby', as everyone calls him, is old, both in looks and outlook. Every engine, no matter how old they are, wants to be really useful and having once nearly been scrapped, Tobias is always happy to work. He's not above being temperamental sometimes, but since he formerly worked mainly up the outlying quarry line on Thomas Billinton's branch line, he could work off his moods without causing grief to anyone, except his own faithful coach, Henrietta Stratford.

Differences between the books, the show and the NickVerse:

As time went for Tobias, his eyesight soon failed him, resulting in him receiving eyeglasses. The same also happened to Henrietta.

Like BadManoredProductions did for his ideal Toby, where he made Toby a female character and named her after Elsie the Luggage Van on his alternative channel, AStrayTerrier, Toby's cowcatchers are colored blue to match his side-plates, otherwise known as 'skirts' or 'aprons'.

Tobias' whistle sound is based on how it sounded in Series 4 of Thomas and Friends.

Tobias, Henrietta and Elsie later move out of Ffarquhar Sheds and are relocated to Sir Robert Norramby's estate railway at the Ulfstead Castle, but Tobias retains his number 7.

Trivia:

Tobias is in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship with Henrietta Stratford.

Tobias' ideal voice actor is Colm Feore, who provided his voice in Thomas and the Magic Railroad.
