The assignment was to draw a character or characters in the style of the late Darwyn Cooke.I tried.
Epic fail.
I re-read his New Frontier and Minutemen work, his Catwoman and "The Man With The Getaway Face".
But it's no surprise I couldn't equal his gifts for composition, charm, design, and sheer goddamn style!
Oh well. RIP Mr Cooke. A great talent.

I heard two years ago that a New Gods movie was
in the works...they even picked a director, but I've
heard nothing since. Maybe it died with the DCEU?

Daniel Day-Lewis to play Highfather w/Hugh Laurie as

I will admit it isn't a terribly good resemblance. But it is a good piece in its own right.
