Spider-Man's original design was drawn closer to Ted Kord (Blue Beetle II) and he carried a gun, the purpose I don't know. If they Kept that design I would assume a modern day costume would look like this. Awesome Job.

Fun fact: in Multiversity, each of the alternative Earths has a Batman analogue that was inspired by something other than a bat: a scorpion, a stingray, an owl, and even a shooting star and a suit of armor! Not a spider, tough - because nobody wants a copyright sue.

And the funny thing is, I would say more people are afraid of - or have an aversion to - spiders than bats. Spider-man would have a much better chance at striking fear into the hearts of superstitious criminals. Oh well...

Imagining the inventory of spider/web-based toys that Bruce could invent/fund would certainly be fun to entertain.

BUt a couple of suggestions.
instead of the Bat-Cape some kind of false spider legs on his back that can spread to strike fear and of course has other uses.
batman doesn't uses guns. but Bat/Spider-NETS maybe

You know, I considered fake spider-legs but decided they would just get in the way, flop about, etc. But then again, that's just what Batman's cape would do in real life so that was no good reason.
I agree about the guns - I should have made it clear the gun-like item he held was a sort of web-shooter - 20 years before Peter Parker came up with the idea.

yea, in one hand the web gun and the other the spider bite gun.

and if you think about it, some kind of restraint (webbing/net) and stunner (dart/taser/"widow's bite") makes a lot more sense than whatever batman does now - hit the bad guys until they are unconscious? Hmmmm.
