I will have you know that occasionally we get snow in impossible places, thank you! About 10 years ago, in fact, we had an unprecedented snowfall on the coast (and with the warm air that blows in off the water, it really was unexpected).
That year, I saw a hollow block of ice sticking out of the end of a drain pipe - as though just the inside of the pipe had been coated, and then it had slid partially out, maybe? It was cool!
Generally speaking, our 'neat things' tend to be lightining-less storms (where I am, anyway, and when the local weather deems storms appropriate), amazingly drought-resistant plant life, and heat waves that make the roads look wet (from a distance) when there'd been no rain for literally months... Really, considering where I am, it's not that impressive, but it's what I've got.
